Are You Paying Attention?

 

Dear investor.

 

There is much about the U.S. Dollar being said lately; some have short-term possible implications, such as simply continuing lower. 

 

The other side of the coin, long-term, countries moving away from the U.S. Dollar and using another currency. 

 

This subject has certainly gained strength; however, whatever success or lack of will take a while to unfold. 

 

Over 70 countries use the dollar as their sole internal currency; reserve currencies historically do have a life-cycle.

 

Investors are cautiously taking notes from the enormous central bank gold buying spree.

 

If you are a stock trader or in metals, this has a specific interpretation for you. 

 

Last year was a record, but strong buying has maintained in place so far this year.

 

The overall market sentiment is tense; what will be the Fed´s next move...is another bank failure around the corner, or is there something even bigger lurking in the woods?

 

They say that out of chaos comes opportunity, stay alert, pay attention, and most  important...make decisions.

When Rates Start To Fall. Dear investor.   While the FOMC meeting is taking place, let´s take a moment to understand the potential for precious metals heading into the new year.   If we look at basic economics, in an environment where interest rates are rising sharply, the textbook answer is for the metals to decline in value.   That being said, over the last year, rate hikes were not rising, they were on fire, straight up with no brakes insight...and gold managed to hold, plus, establish a new record high in such hostile conditions.   Then the logical question is, what are the possibilities as interest rates start to fall?   This requires that you calmly digest and review closely the last twelve months.   Tomorrow, the Fed will most likely stay put, with the inflation numbers remaining stable from the last report. Expect Volatility.

Expect Volatility. .
