Let´s Review Again...IMG Blog Sent ON March 9, 2023.

Gold and silver have enjoyed a fabulous run over the last three and a half weeks. 

 

Both markets take out resistance levels, respectively. Gold trading above $2000.00 and silver closing in excess of $25.00 an ounce. 

 

IMG for months had strongly suggested that the Fed's aggressive, obsessive behavior would bring consequences, and was winding down.

 

Investors, as a rule, we want to buy new products on weakness or as a market declines in price, and should sell products into strength, protecting our gains.

 

These are money management rules that sometimes are difficult to follow  as emotions usually play a role in our decisions. 

 

Patience, be ready for the next price break.!

This week has been full of nerves, excitement, and opportunities.

 

The Powell road show was at it, maintaining his hawkish stance in front of Congress. It did not go well for Mr.2%.

 

He was drilled hard, no mercy by Senators who questioned his strategies and potential harm to working-class Americans. 

 

A week heavy in economic reports that will serve as a guide for the Fed´s next interest rate meeting. 

 

Perhaps the most important data release will be tomorrow´s Non-Farm Payroll...highly anticipated.

 

IMG will share the results as soon as they are available.

 

Markets were spooked by initial comments made last Tuesday, creating a buying opportunity. 

 

Technical indicators plus the $20.00 price on the screen for silver, continue to motivate fresh capital entering the market. 

 

More than a 60% chance of a 50 basis point rate hike factored into the market.

Who Knows?   Dear investor.   THE PATTERN REPEATS ITSELF; already, the Fed will make two cuts this year, and so forth and beyond...foolishness at its best.    Folk´s stop this nonsense...not even Powell knows how many potential cuts might unfold this year. Ounce again, the Fed is data-driven, without the data, it´s impossible to speculate on future cuts.    A reminder: April  2 nd is around the corner, the day that reciprocal Tariffs around the world are supposed to be put into effect.    It´s another dark cloud hanging over the markets.
