Inflation Numbers.

 Dear Investor

 

The Consumer Price Index came in at 0.3% for December...estimate was at 0.2%. Inflation over the last 12 months rose more than expected to 3.4% the estimate was at 3.2%.

 

Core inflation is at 3.9% in the last 12 months a tad higher than expected.

 

Slight volatility after the number was released, but for the most part, precious metals have largely ignored the stats...traders not surprised by data.

 

Light buying at today´s lower price range was seen as trader's view any price breaks as attractive entry points.

 

Short-term: Headlines are your buying opportunities.

 

Long-term: Fundamentals are your guide.

Who Knows?   Dear investor.   THE PATTERN REPEATS ITSELF; already, the Fed will make two cuts this year, and so forth and beyond...foolishness at its best.    Folk´s stop this nonsense...not even Powell knows how many potential cuts might unfold this year. Ounce again, the Fed is data-driven, without the data, it´s impossible to speculate on future cuts.    A reminder: April  2 nd is around the corner, the day that reciprocal Tariffs around the world are supposed to be put into effect.    It´s another dark cloud hanging over the markets.
