It´s Your Mind vs The Market. Dear Investor.  A fair amount of economic data has been released recently, retail sales, GDP, Home sales, etc. Most are upbeat about the overall state of the economy.   IMG has often attempted to communicate how interesting certain data points may be. For example, retail sales were up in the last quarter, where is the real surprise, let´s see, first Thanksgiving then immediately after we entered into the Holiday Season, wow, retail sales showed an increase. We need to evaluate information a tad more cautiously.   For those who seek to make additional or new purchases, the world is in a turbulent cycle; expect volatility, and know that we will wake up to major changes or surprises with little or no warning. Therefore, it´s imperative to decipher the headlines, look for value, and step in. Debt, two bloody wars, China, and the Fed.   It´s your mind vs the market...if you believe, then act.   Short-term: Headlines are your buying opportunities.   Long-term: Fundamentals are your guide.   Much success to all.
