Our main competition is facing strong headwinds. We are confident in the economy, some paint a rather rosy picture, even if reality is far from such a Goldilocks story. 

 

China cut its mortgage rates aggressively today, their stock market has been falling like a rock, an investor's confidence is suffering. This has been unfolding for a long-time, but it happened. In the U.S. however, layoffs are massive, and a large group seeking full-time employment is having a tough ride.. are things great?

 

If you truly understand the financial landscape then the sensationalism won´t successfully blind your intelligence.

There is a large amount of selling going on from top executives; selling  their company shares or as it is also referred to insiders liquidating ahead of the curve...at extreme highs, the path of least resistance is lower. 

 

If you need confirmation, then wait for it, perhaps, not the best strategy, but the warning signs are certainly visible.

When Rates Start To Fall. Dear investor.   While the FOMC meeting is taking place, let´s take a moment to understand the potential for precious metals heading into the new year.   If we look at basic economics, in an environment where interest rates are rising sharply, the textbook answer is for the metals to decline in value.   That being said, over the last year, rate hikes were not rising, they were on fire, straight up with no brakes insight...and gold managed to hold, plus, establish a new record high in such hostile conditions.   Then the logical question is, what are the possibilities as interest rates start to fall?   This requires that you calmly digest and review closely the last twelve months.   Tomorrow, the Fed will most likely stay put, with the inflation numbers remaining stable from the last report. Expect Volatility. .
