The market is factoring in a cut of 50 basis points. This is what has been motivating prices lately. So then, let's understand what this means...if the expectation is high and the anticipation moves the market higher, then what happens?

Well, if it's factored in, then the 50 basis points already impacted the price beforehand and could turn out negative after the decision. 

The level of anticipation or hype surrounding the September meeting is the classic double-edged sword. Don't put the cart in front of the horse. 

Gold trading over $2500.00 was a significant accomplishment not only relative to the price itself but perhaps a greater achievement psychologically for investors. 

Substantial price breaks should be considered new entry points.
