Dear investor.

 

The Fed gave the market exactly what the market wanted.

 

The pressure on the Fed was overwhelming. Is this a wise decision, timely, or playing catch-up? Allow the market to digest the information. 

 

The Fed target of 2% is nowhere in sight. What signal does this provide to the average person? Spend more, and things are just fine; there is nothing to worry about. Another possibility is that the economy is in the worst shape, therefore the 50 points.

 

Will this aggressive move impact the inflationary data and potentially
backfire on the Fed. 

 

Over the next couple of weeks, we will have a much better picture to work with. There are some similarities to what happened in 2007.

 

A strong price appreciation was initially achieved immediately after the initial cut.

 

Short-term: Headlines are your buying opportunities.

 

Long-term: Fundamentals are your guide.
